Jeon Somi, who is now under YG The Black Label, released first solo debut with ‘Birthday’ song on June 13, 2019 6 p.m. KST.

BLACKPINK members – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa – posted Somi songs on Instagram as support for Somi first solo debut.

Somi is a Korean-Canadian singer based in South Korea, best known for finishing first in Mnet’s survival reality program Produce 101 and debuting in former South Korean girl group I.O.I.

Previously, Somi signed with JYP Entertainment but around September 2018, she moved and signed an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment’s sub-label The Black Label, a label lead by Teddy (BLACKPINK producer).

Somi’s dad, Matthew Douma, was Real Men 300 cast member along with Lisa.

So proud of Somi! I actually didn’t know who she was until I realized that Matthew Douma is her dad. I remember him from the show Real Men 300. He supported Lisa and all the other members from the show very well. Anyway, since than I learned that she has been wanting to be an idol since she was young. This song is a bop! Congrats Somi!!! 🎶🎶💖😍
