BLACKPINK Comeback, YG YouTube Sales Expected to Increase 30-50%

BLACKPINK UPDATE – May 23, 2018.

YG Entertainment YouTube sales are expected to increase up to 80 ~ 90 billion won or 30 ~ 50% higher than 2017 during Blackpink upcoming comeback in mid June 2018.

Business Post News Korea posted this news today, May 23, 2018.

Lee Ki-hoon, a researcher from Hana Financial Group – one of the largest bank holding companies in Korea, said, “The number of Blackpink YouTube subscribers is the second highest after BTS. When Blackpink comes back, YG Entertainment’s 2018 YouTube sales will rise sharply.”

YG Entertainment is expected to earn 54 billion won in sales and 3.2 billion won in operating profit in the second quarter. In 2018, YouTube’s contribution is expected to increase to 25% from total operating profit.

Previously, on May 14, 2018, Yonhap News reported that YG Entertainment operating profit in the first quarter fell 84.4% to 2.3 billion won, while the revenues also decreased 27.7% to 77.3 billion won.
