BLACKPINK shared official video, BLACKPINK x YOUTUBE – BLACKPINK Reaches 10 Million Subscribers

According to Soompi, on August 16, BTS and BLACKPINK were reported to be the first K-pop groups ever to receive Diamond Creator Awards from YouTube after each surpassing 10 million subscribers on their official channels.

On August 16, 2018 at 3 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK had a total of 10,739,217 subscribers on YouTube, the highest number achieved by any single K-pop group (excluding agency-wide channels).

BLACKPINK subscriber count is also the second-highest ever achieved by a single K-pop artist, trailing only PSY, who received his own YouTube Diamond Creator Award last year.

YouTube Diamond Play Button or Diamond Creator Award will be awarded to channels that surpass 10,000,000 subscribers. It is made of silver-plated metal inset with a large piece of crystal in the shape of a play button triangle

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK Official YouTube Channel has surpassed 11 million subscribers and BLACKPINK DDU DU DDU DU Official Music Video just surpassed 300 million YouTube views on August 23, 2018 at around 6 p.m. KST.

According to Soompi, BLACKPINK DDU DU DDU DU music video reached 300 million YouTube views in approximately 69 days, or two months and eight days. This breaks the record for the fastest K-pop group music video to reach the milestone, which was previously held by BTS “DNA” at 5 months and 16 days.

Congrats BLACKPINK and BLINK for this new achievement, lets keep up the good work!
