Blackpink Wins Best 3 New Artists at Japan Gold Disc Award 2018

Blackpink just won Best 3 New Artists category at The 32nd Japan Gold Disc Award 2018. This category is awarded to the top 3 artists who debuted during the specified period with the largest net sales value. The 32nd Japan Gold Disc Award awarded each prize based on the sales results for last year, January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) established the Japan Gold Disc Awards in 1987 and has since honored artists and their work that contributed greatly to the development of the record industry of that year.

This year, the association celebrated The 32nd Japan Gold Disc Award 2018 and just announced the winners. There are several categories: Artist of the Year, Best Asian Artist, Best Enka/Kayokyoku Artist, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and many more. See the complete list here: Japan Gold Disc Award 2018.

And Blackpink just won one of the category, Best 3 New Artists along with Twice and BTOB.
